SOLID WOODS:
Red Oak -- White, gray with red tint accepted on face. Mineral allowed approximately 1/16" wide x 8" long. Rips no less than 1" wide. No knots. Burl and filled pinhole knots acceptable. Mineral may appear in machined area.
Select Red Oak -- Same as Red Oak except no rips less than 2" wide in center of panel unless perfect in grain and color match. Mineral may appear in machined areas of panel and outside edge of frame.
Cherry -- Natural range of colors allowed, including limited Sapwood.
Select Cherry -- Same as cherry, except Sapwood allowed in machined areas only.
Walnut -- natural range of colors allowed. White Sapwood allowed in machined areas only.
Ash -- natural range of colors; limited brown.
Select Ash -- Natural range of colors; a higher grade of color match.
Maple -- Northern Select White Hard Maple, similar to Birch in appearance.
Paint Grade -- A mixture of solid paintable woods acceptable. Because of natural expansion and contraction of wood, painted doors may show cracks in joints and glue lines in panels. To minimize potential problems, we suggest ordering paint Grade with MDF Panels (see Warranty).
PLYWOODS: Frame same as solid raised panel. Plywood insert back veneer may not match face veneer on some wood types.
